These fantastic 3 layer face masks can be worn for prolonged periods of times, can be used in any public environment, walking, travelling to school, public transport.

Our 3 layer childrens’s face mask (also know as a respirator) is a single use disposable mask. The masks have been tested for fluid resistance, filtration efficiency, flammability and biocompatibility. They are designed to capture at least 95% of particles measuring a median of 0.3 µm, and as nanoparticles mainly travel by Brownian motion, they are effectively captured within the mask filter via electrostatic and mechanical forces.

What Makes Our 3-Layer Face Masks Stand Out?

Unfortunately when it comes to face masks, not all masks are equal, no matter what they look like. It is a very sad, but true fact, that many of the new manufacturers of face masks (set up in China once they returned to work from the Coronavirus pandemic) are not honest, and are shipping below par products using either faked certification, or have produced high quality samples to gain their certification, but are then producing cheaper face masks with a cheap melt blown layer.

The face masks consist primarily of 3 main parts:

- The outer breathable fabric, which can be coloured (usually blue)
- The inner skin facing fabric, which helps to prevent skin irritations
- The melt blown layer, which is the most important and expensive part

The melt blown layer is a process that converts polymer resin into low diameter fibre non-woven web. As a minimum requirement for the mask to be effective, the melt blown layer needs have a 90% micro filter. As the melt blown layer you use increases in price the higher the percentage, many of the new companies are producing face masks with either a very low percentage of melt blown layer, or non at all.

It is impossible to tell without testing the face mask what the melt blown percentage is. However at Tradelocks, we have a very strict quality control team in our factories, and you can be assured that our 3 layer face masks are the highest quality available.

Use of 3-Layer Face Masks

3 layer face masks are designed to be a single daily use item. Once used and taken off, the mask must then be disposed of. They are perfect to be used in public environments including walking and travelling to and from school on public transport. It is highly recommended that the 3-layer face mask is used in conjunction with our face shields.
